Not Your average Run Of The Mil

Today is not only Monday ladies and gentleman , but today is the day Yung Mil dropped some heat. That heat comes in the form of a music video and lets just say this man isn't being "Selfish". From filming some of the dopest videos music video in the town to having a successful rap career. I'm sitting here wondering, what can this man not do? I guess thats why Yung Mil drives the Benz. As Stephen A from ESPN would say "Moma There Go That Man" . I had a chance to reach out out to Yung Mil and like the straw house from the " The Three Little Pigs" children book it went down.

Q:

What first got you into music?

A:

Music has pretty much always been intergraded in my life since i was a kid. Listening to the stereo in backseat of the car growing up as well as being surrounded by singers and rappers in my family (mom, brothers etc.) I was naturally drawn to how it made me feel.

Q:

How would you describe the music that you typically create?

A:

The music I create is ranges from a large pool of genre-bending influences but if I had to simplify it - I'd call it Hip-Pop. I dance between Hip Hop and Pop music the most, given my melodic style.

Q:

What is your creative process like?

A:

My creative process is just creating the kind of music that tells parts of the life story I havent touched on yet. I rarely write lyrics down anymore, I tend to let them flow and go from there. pre covid I'd choose beats based on what would feel great at my concerts and what vibes were missing.

Q:

Who would you most like to collaborate with?

A:

When it comes to collaborations, I'm not too much driven by nor away from them. Being so self-sufficient now, I've learned not to rely as much on other acts. I work alone a lot but if a great artist / record comes along & the relationship makes sense I'm all for it. A Chris Brown Hook would NOT hurt tho lol.

Q:

If you could go open a show for any artist who would it be?

A:

If I could open up for any artist (that I haven't already), I think it'd be either Drake or Tory Lanez.

Q:

What is one message you would give to your fans?

A:

DBA Clique (my fanbase/clothing brand) knows the answer to this. Dream Believe & Achieve. Thats the motto.

Q:

What is the most useless talent you have?

A:

The most useless talent I have is probably something like moving my pinky toe by itself lol. In like 6th or 7th grade I focused on tryna master that shxt for like a week. Those must've been bored times haha.

Q:

Do you sing in the shower? What songs?

A:

I hella sing in the shower no cap lmao. I actually think of a lot of choruses for my music randomly there. If I ever get writers block I might start asking studios "hey do you got a shower bruh?" lmao.

Q:

What would you be doing right now, if it wasn’t for your music career?

A:

If music wasn't my career, I'd most likely be a fulltime filmaker or something in that space sense my visual company "Aeon Visual" is doing so well. I love being creative and helping people get their visions out and tangible. Music or film. They all go hand and hand.
